For the first time, Penguen Gıda achieved a 9-month net profit of YTL 2.8 million despite the drought in 2007.
Aykan Sözüçetin, General Director of Penguen Gıda Sanayi A.Ş., announced a YTL 2.8 million net profit according to the data for the 9 months.
In a written statement he made, Mr. Sözüçetin said that as a result of the restructuring and efficiency efforts, investments and new management approaches accomplished in the first quarter of this year, the company concentrated on profitable products and strengthened its financial structure by establishing a partnership with Asia Special Situations, a group company under ADM Capital.
Announcing that the company has achieved profit this year according to the data for 9 months after a long time despite the impacts of the drought and low exchange rates in 2007, Mr. Sözüçetin added: “Comparing this figure to the net loss of YTL 11.2 million for the same period in 2006 will clearly show the high performance our company has achieved. From now on, Penguen Gıda will target profitable growth.”
Stating that Penguen Gıda had defined 2007 as a transition year starting it with efficiency efforts and completed it by amending the company logo and packaging, Mr. Sözüçetin said that the company would put forth its best effort to make this innovative change permanent. |
